Launch CHIRON2

The Chiron2 was launched at Drawsko Pomorskie in October 2016.

The 55kg rocket had a swift start and flew supersonic to an altitude of 7km. The strong side wind caused the rocket to fly into the wind and therefore the anticipated 8km+ was not reached.

The talky GPS locator can be heard throughout the launch, reporting both altitude and GPS locations.

Unfortunately the altimeter was not correctly activated and separation of the drogueless design was not accomplished, resulting in a ballistic flight path and crash.
